Visualisation Modes and Types
Visualisation Types
You can choose mode and type only when you start a new visualization. You cannot change type or mode of an existing visualization, but you can switch between merged/default modes for already created visualizations.

- Address wise: Focuses on individual addresses and their transactions. Dive deep into how specific addresses interact and analyze transaction patterns and relationships.
Add any address and see its transactions with others.
Note: In Address-wise mode you cannot automatically build exposure connections the way you can in Entity-wise mode.
- Entity wise: Groups addresses into entities (organizations or individuals). Get a higher-level overview of interactions between entities and spot broader patterns.
Add entities by name (e.g., Binance) or addresses; non-entity addresses are shown individually.
💡 Tip: Choose the type that best fits your analysis needs. Entity wise is great for big-picture patterns, while Address wise is perfect for granular details.
Visualisation Modes
Tracer offers several modes to help you analyze and understand your data effectively. Each mode provides a unique way to view and interpret information.
-
Default mode: Straightforward representation focusing on primary relationships and attributes. Ideal for deep overviews and quick analysis.
Add addresses and their transactions for direct insights. -
Merged mode: Combines multiple transactions between the same addresses/entities into a single connection line, reducing clutter and highlighting overall patterns.
Switch to merged mode with the “Merge” button in the left bar menu. Total amounts are displayed for each connection.

- Connection mode: Emphasizes relationships and interactions between entities, highlighting connections and pathways for tracing relationships and understanding flow.
See all interactions of the address/entity you search, shown as one connection with the full sum of transactions.
ℹ️ Info: You can switch between Default and Merged modes for existing visualizations using the left bar menu. Connection mode is best for tracing global interactions.
